I love to photograph families in their natural habitat! What I mean by that is, if you go to the bakery on the weekend with your fam, I want to photograph that. If you like to go on walks in the woods with your dog, I want to photograph that. If you like staying in and playing board games, going to your favourite park, or swimming in your backyard pool, I want to photograph that.

 

Creating comfort for kiddos during a photoshoot


I find that kids are a lot more comfortable and have a lot more fun when they can be photographed doing the things that feel normal to them & that they like to do!


This can take a lot of stress off the parents and also create an experience for your kids, making memories you'll want to capture and remember.

I don't know how many times we've been doing something as a family and I think - "I wish I had photos of us doing this". And it's generally just normal everyday things, but those are the things I want to remember. This is what I love about this shoot. It's a sweet little family, visiting the local bakery, then going for a coffee date. The perfect backdrop for a family photoshoot!

 

Cozy vibes for a Nova scotia family photoshoot


This particular day was a bit dreary, but it made for such a cozy vibe inside Gerrish & Gray Coffee Shop in Windsor. Before heading to the coffee shop, we stopped by Bedard Bakery & had some croissants on the stoop! And of course, we had to have a photo under the Marquee at the Mermaid Theatre!
